WHAT MAKES OUR PIEROGI SPECIAL?

With a name like Rinkowski, it's no surprise that we celebrate our Polish roots! Our family, which immigrated through Ellis Island and settled in northern New Jersey, is part of a vibrant Polish community that has inspired us to include this beloved dish on our menu. Our Pierogi are generously stuffed with cheese and potato, then cooked in sweet cream butter for that perfect flavor. Topped with chopped green onions and served with homemade dill sour cream for dipping, these Pierogi are irresistibly delicious—once you start, it’s hard to stop at just one!

HISTORY OF THE PIEROGI

Pierogi, the beloved Polish dumplings, have made their way from Eastern European kitchens to tables all over the world. Traditionally filled with savory or sweet ingredients, these little pockets of joy are boiled, fried, or both, and often served with a dollop of sour cream or yogurt. Though they resemble other dumplings from different cultures, pierogi have a rich and distinct history all their own.

Eastern European Roots

Pierogi originated in Poland and other Slavic countries, becoming a staple of both peasant and noble cuisine. The name "pierogi" is the plural form of pieróg, meaning "dumpling" in Polish. Though dumplings are common worldwide, pierogi are uniquely tied to Eastern European culinary traditions.
